Well written PvP post from the Oboards

"Today, while battlegrounds and world PvP do exist, PvP is now encompassed by
the Arena. Introduced in the Burning Crusade expansion, it consists of rated
duels within small, instanced maps. After the expansion, it became clear that
certain class combinations were superior to others, and that many classes had
significant strengths in some formats. Over the course of three seasons of
Arena, the scale of PvP has been reduced to cookie-cutter class compositions
running around a pillar, the only differences between teams being the names over
their heads. The funneling of MMORPG classes of different races and specs into
small instances for the purposes of eSport has caused a large amount of
controversy when it comes to balance, particularly for classes that have
struggled to achieve the success of other classes based on representation
statistics available online. There is also a contingent of people who prefer
large-scale warfare on an MMO-scale, since this is, after all, an MMO based on a
well-known franchise of real-time strategy games. The problems that arise from
running MMO classes through staged duels can be summed up as follows: • Because
classes are based on different roles due to their PvE roots, some classes don’t
survive when matched up against classes whose role is stronger in a small-scale
PvP setting. Certain classes don’t hold up well in the Arena environment itself,
such as hunters and mages. Large numbers of players are enduring an uphill
battle that other players don’t have to face. • Race choice, originally an
aesthetic decision with special abilities to add flavor to your character,
suddenly become major decisions that can determine how far you can push through
the upper echelons of Arena battle. • Classes are able to choose different specs
of talents that alter the way they are played, but in the Arena, only certain
specs have viability in a small-scale PvP setting (regardless of how fun that
spec is for the player).

• Balance changes for the Arena affect other areas of the game. For instance,
Blizzard tested a change to the Life Tap mechanic of warlocks that would have
significantly altered their itemization requirements and playstyle in a PvE
setting. Only when warlock Arena representation began to recede during testing
did Blizzard abandon the change. guild wars gold
Shamanistic Rage was changed into a physical effect so that it could not be
dispelled by enemy players, but the duration was halved, affecting enhancement
shamans in PvE. Neither are (or would have been) game-breaking changes, but they
are noticed and resented by players not participating in the Arena. •
Establishing instanced duels as the top form of PvP in the game ignores three
continents of open land already populated by both factions. wow
powerleveling World PvP is significantly diminished. The scale of PvP is
reduced to five people waiting around a goblin in a tuxedo. • Certain
professions are locked out of the Arena because they are considered overpowered
in a rated, small-scale setting (many engineering items, for example). billig wow
gold However, other professions like enchanting or blacksmithing--which can
produce a stun-proccing mace--are allowed. • Arenas ignore all established lore.
There is no regard for faction or setting. wow
Members of the Alliance fight other members of the Alliance undisturbed in the
ruins of Lordaeron, for example--an impossible situation. • Cheating to ensure a
high rating, and selling ratings to undermine the ratings system. • Community
elitism based around Arena ratings. lotro gold This year, two
competing MMOs are set to be released that have a lot to offer large-scale
PvPers. Because of its recent PvP stress test, Age of Conan is currently the
most talked-about, and later this year, we will see the release of Warhammer
Online, perhaps WoW’s biggest challenger given the history of Warcraft itself
(the first game was originally supposed to be a Warhammer game).

RELATED LINKS:

http://annasu.blogdiario.com/

http://annasu.blog4.petitmall.jp/

http://wowgamezone.centerblog.net/

http://wowfreezone.canalblog.com/

http://wowgamezone.gnomz.com/

http://game.blogs.courrierinternational.com/

WoWReader Issues & Help (v.4)

"This is the main thread for help and issues reguarding WowReader. The previous
threads can still be found v.3, v.2 and (older) v.1. If you just need general
usage instructions, be sure to check the Readme.txt included before asking any
questions. If you have any problems, or run into any bugs, post here. If you
encounter an error message that mentions error.txt, post it's contents here. If
you have trouble patching, post the contents of patch.log and startup.log here.
""After entering my login info, I get an invalid-password error when I try to
upload, and if I go back, my pw changed to a long string of ***'s."" - Ensure
that you actually entered your correct login and password for this website. Be
sure that both the login AND password are correct. They are both case-sensitive.
If in doubt, or the error persists, try changing your password on the website,
then entering the new one. The number of ***'s shown on the login screen is not
related to the length of your password. The extra stars shown are not causing
your problem. ""Profile not updating"" - Verify the Wr UI Addon is loading
within the game. You can type /wver in game to confirm it's running. If it's not
loaded, exit out of WoW and go to character select, then click on the ""Addons""
button and make sure its not disabled. If you've checked this, please mention it
in your post so we can save some time. - Ensure you're having Wowreader upload
successfully after you've logged out from the game world on the character you
wish to update. - It can take a couple minutes between a successful upload and
your profile reflecting the changes. - Stats on profile search are updated
hourly, not instantly, so if your profile shows the correct stats, but search
doesn't, just give it some time.

""The application failed to initialize properly (0xc0000135). Click on OK to
terminate the application."" - Fix this by installing the newest version of .NET
Error message: ""Application has generated an exception that could not be
handled. Process id = 0x. wow
europe (. ) Thread id = 0x. wow gold
kauf (. )."" - This can be caused by a few different things. gold
wow . First, make sure that you installed WowReader to a local hard drive,
and not to a network share. . Next, try uninstalling, downloading the installer
again and reinstalling wowreader. . Finally, try deleting the WowReader
SavedVariables file and WoW's WDB directory. cheap world of warcraft gold By
default, this would be the file ""C:Program FilesWorld of
WarcraftWTFAccountSavedVariablesWr2.lua"", and the directory
""C:Program FilesWorld of WarcraftCache"". Log in and out of WoW after doing
so, and they'll be recreated. One final note: Off-topic posts in this thread
will be deleted. Please don't use this thread for general questions. " "I’m not
a PvP player. It’s just not my thing. wowgold
But I stumbled upon an amazingly written post where a player has summed up
his/her opinion of the state of PvP in WoW today. It’s extremely long, but a
good read. I’ll copy the original post here for those who don’t like going to
the OBoards. Four Wheels of Fury wins a
Webby But here’s the URL for those who would rather check it out in
person, so to speak.

RELATED LINKS:

http://wowgoldmonster.blogstream.com/

http://ppcwow.busythumbs.com/

http://emily5656.mindsay.com/

http://wowhunter.canalblog.com/

http://sunny1213.createblog.com/blog/

http://hubpages.com/profile/ponyma

"Wrath of the Lich King : What we know thus far.

"The official trailer can be found here. It's not a cinematic, but ingame
footage that sets the tone for Northrend. NEW CLASS: THE DEATH KNIGHT Naturally,
people are pretty worked up about the Death Knight being released. However, many
don't seem to understand exactly how unlocking it is going to work. This is what
Blizzard has said so far: In order to unlock the Death Knight, you must perform
a series of quests similar to the Onyxia key chain or the Warlock mount quest.
This chain will begin somewhere between level 55 and level 70, as Blizzard
doesn't want people rushing to level 80 purely so they can play as a Death
Knight. When you have completed these quests, you will be able to create a Death
Knight character that is pre-leveled to at least level 50 (exact value not
confirmed). Your old character WILL NOT be consumed, or augmented, or anything
like that. See the section on the Death Knight here to see Blizzard's
confirmation of this. The Death Knight is a tank hybrid, similar to Paladin in
that it is a tanking caster, but different in that it focuses on dark damaging
spells whereas the Paladin is focused more on holy and healing aspects. The
Death Knight utilizes a new ""Rune"" system, different from Rage, Mana, and
Energy. ""When you are out of combat, you can switch your active runes around a
few types; you have 6 rune slots. Abilities will put certain rune types on
cooldowns or may even use multiple runes. Thus, what runes you choose affect how
your deathknight plays in combat."" There are three rune types: Blood, unholy,
and frost. Information found here. Death Knights will not use shields, but can
dual wield as well as use the standard two-handed weapons. They can wear plate
armor.

Also, Death Knights ARE NOT superior to the classes already in place. They are
different, but not better. So far, all races will be able to be a Death Knight,
though this is subject to change. Rumor has it that you might not have to be
level 80 to unlock the Death Knight... this is still up in the air. NEW
CONTINENT: NORTHREND A continent supposedly about 10 zones large, Northrend can
be found roughly midway between and to the north of Kalimdor and the Eastern
Kingdoms. A cold and , until recently, desolate place, Northrend is the place
where the Lich King Arthas holds dominion. wow gold
kaufen However, it won't all be a snow-dominated wasteland, there will be
zones with other ""themes"". You will be able to access Northrend as early as
level 68, similar to how Outland became available at 58. The structure of the
zones will look like this: Howling Fjord (lvl 68-72) Borean Tundra (lvl 68-72)
The Dragonblight (level 71-75) Zul'Drak (level 73-76) Grizzly Hills (level
74-76) Azjol-Nerub (level 74-78) Sholazar Basin (lvl 75-78) The Storm Peaks (lvl
77-80) Icecrown Glacier (level 77-80) Lake Wintergrasp (Outdoor PvP) The rough
zone layout can be found here. wow gold cheapest Blizzard has
released extensive information about two zones, which will both be to Northrend
what Hellfire Peninsula was to Outland: the Borean Tundra and the Howling Fjord.
Another zone mentioned but not given a page of its own is the Dragonblight,
which will apparently be your stereotypical snow-covered wasteland. It will
contain the entrance to Azjol-Nerub, where the arachnid Nerubians dwell. lotro gold The Howling Fjord
will contain Utgarde Keep, a winged instance with two wings thus far. One is a
level 70 instance, and the other, apparently titled ""Utgarde Pinnacle"" is for
level 80s.

Both of these will have Heroic versions. gold wow The capital city of
Northrend will be the Kirin Tor's home... the wizard city of Dalaran. Apparently
they can make entire cities teleport and float. wow
powerleveling Who knew. Lake Wintergrasp will act as a PvP area even on a
PvE server. It will feature siege weapons and destructible buildings.

RELATED LINKS:

http://wowgamezone.blogs.nouvelobs.com/

http://www.soulcast.com/wowgoldhunter/

http://wowgoldmaster.iblog.com/

http://community.mytypes.com/wowgold01/weblog

http://www.yourblogs.net/wowgoldmonster/

http://naicygong.22.dtiblog.com

WoW Europe: proposal to ban multiplexing, boxing in World of Warcraft

"The term ""boxing"" takes on a different meaning in Blizzard's World of
Warcraft. It basically describes the act of controlling several characters from
multiple accounts or instances of the game and simultaneously doing the same
action. While this may seem like an amusing way to play WoW, some people find
this kind of practice an act of gameplay abuse, especially when exercised in PvP
or Battlegrounds. WoW Europe forum poster Noroimuja gave a lengthy explanation
why boxing should be banned from the game. In the past, Blizzard's stand on
multiplexing (the act of using a ""splitter"" program to control multiple
accounts) and boxing has always been rather relaxed. It seems like this
particular view point hasn't changed ever since as well. Blizzard Poster
Thundgot eventually went online and explained their stand on the matter by
saying: We have stated several times that we have nothing against multiboxing.
As long as the player controls each of the characters, the player may run
multiple clients/characters. Many may not necessarily agree with the verdict,
but it looks like they'll have to live with it for the time being. Until then,
let this be a lesson for those of you facing up against five shamans
suspiciously walking towards you in a straight line. In any case, make sure to
come back again to QJ.NET for more updates regarding World of Warcraft. It's no
fun to be constantly redirected. Just ask World of Warcraft player Soraneaptide.
The player posted a complaint on Blizzard's forums regarding the company's
store. According to Soraneaptide, the Blizzard store has too many redirects and
seems to bounce back to itself. Furthermore, Soraneaptide can't seem to open an
entry for a detail view of the Blizzard store. Neither does the player have
access to Blizzard.com or links to a webmaster. Fortunately, Blizzard blue
poster Hortus identified the cause of the problem and proposed a solution: An
update was just applied to the store which can cause this problem.

Try exiting out of your browser and then returning to the online store, it
should work correctly. If it doesn't please let me know. That goes for other
World of Warcraft players as well. If you've tried Hortus' suggestion and you're
still experiencing the problems that Soaneaptide described, feel free to let
Blizzard know via the source link below. " "I like starmixx's idea from WoW LJ:
whenever she's driven nuts by something in game, she just steps away and does
some baking. To tell the truth, I've gotten pretty good at avoiding my ingame
annoyances -- I don't really PuG all that much anymore, and I mostly avoid group
quests (or just stay patient enough until someone I know can help me finish
them). But sooner or later, we're all going to hit our heads up against
something that happens in game, and then it's a good time to walk away and... do
what. I personally find that going for a walk helps me clear my head -- nothing
reminds me that ""this is just a game"" more than actually going out in the real
world for a while. But I like that starmixx's plan is so productive -- you get
de-stressed and get to have cupcakes. That's pretty win. What do you do when the
game drives you nuts. Some of the folks in the LJ thread don't even leave the
game -- they log an alt or just go fishing for a while. What's your plan when
something in Azeroth makes you crazy. Log onto an alt more often than not. po wow
My normal frustrations are when I get a quest that requires me to do something
with a world object that causes every mob in range to aggro at once. This is
usually instant death for my character, which causes me some good ol' unhealthy
frustration I'm a masochist I suppose.

Although I have something like 21 alts spread across five servers, plenty of
laundry and housework to catch up on, and rarely sleep more than three hours a
day... Cheapest wow gold if something
is truely frustrating me in the game I am very likely to just keep beating my
head against it until I win. I very much believe that I will overcome whatever
it is on the next try, nope, next one.... dang it, gotta run back to my body,
but I'll get him this time, crap, one more then I quite... wow
gold nope had him down to 4%, I got him this time.. just need to repair but
I'm going to own this gu... damn, one more, frickin A, last time... wow gold billig Dangit... almost
had him there... I gotta pee... wow power leveling after
this shot... I wonder if those Depends are comfortable, DAMNIT stupid ganking
prick, and I almost had the guy when that whored ass killed me... friggin A!!!
Where is he. " .

RELATED LINKS:

http://teresa.iza.ne.jp

http://naicygong12.iza.ne.jp

http://www.fiql.com/blogs/naicygong

http://d.hatena.ne.jp/annasu/

http://blog.nationmultimedia.com/sunny

http://teresag.exblog.jp
